Discover Birds Across Northern Arizona

Join the Northern Arizona Audubon Society for free bird walks and programs across some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Southwest. From lush riparian corridors and desert wetlands to ponderosa pine forests and high mountain meadows, our trips give you the chance to explore a variety of habitats—each with its own unique birdlife.

Depending on the season, you might see hummingbirds, tanagers, warblers, hawks, owls, and the iconic Common Black Hawk. Every outing brings new surprises!

Our bird walks are free and open to everyone—whether you’re brand-new to birding or a lifelong enthusiast. The bird walks are led by highly experienced guides, including professional ornithologists, PhD ecologists, students of ornithology, and lifelong birders who know Northern Arizona intimately. We provide a small honorarium in gratitude for their time and expertise, and if you enjoy these walks, please consider supporting NAAS—your donations and memberships help us continue offering these programs while advancing our mission to protect birds and habitats across Northern Arizona.

To get the latest trip updates and notifications, be sure to join our Meetup group!
