Monarch Festival, Saturday, October 19th, 9 a.m. to Noon

Join Arizona Milkweed for Monarchs, in partnership with the Sedona Village Rotary and Yavapai County Master Gardeners on the baseball diamond at the former Big Park Community School in VOC for a morning of fun and education for all ages.

At this free event, over 500 Milkweed plants will be on sale, along with family-friendly activities and pollinator and garden-related presentations every half hour, beginning at 9 a.m.

One of the presenters will be one of NAAS’s own. Join Master Gardener and NAAS’s Education Chair, Becky Hardy. She will be facilitating two different presentations about Monarchs. At 9 a.m., she will share what plants attract Monarchs to your Garden and at 10 a.m., she will discuss the Monarch’s migration through the Verde Valley.

Directions:
Traveling north on the 179, turn left onto Verde Valley School Road.
Traveling south on the 179, turn right onto Verde Valley School Road.

Once on Verde Valley School Road, after the first stop sign, look for the community garden sign immediately to your left (it’s set back from the road) and turn left into the gravel parking lot.
