Kachina Wetlands Sunday, September 15th 7:30 – 10 am

  • 15 Sep 2024
  • 7:30 AM - 10:30 AM
  • Kachina Wetlands Preserve
Northern Arizona Audubon is hosting a bird walk out at Kachina Wetlands on Sunday, September 15th at the "early bird hour" of 7:30 am. The trip leader is John Wilson, a highly skilled birder with abundant knowledge about bird behavior and habitats. To provide for a quality experience, a second leader will be present and the group size will be divided if more than 12 people show up.

September can be full of surprises. Many of the summer species are still around, and fall migrants are beginning to appear. You never know what might show up on September 15th. It's always fun to find out!

Please bring binoculars if you have them, along with water, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Although the route is gravel, it is wheelchair accessible. No bathrooms.

How to get there: From I-17, take the Kachina Village exit, immediately turn right onto Tovar Trail, and follow it one mile to the dirt parking lot at the end.
