Clear Creek Campground in Camp Verde - Wednesday, January 10th, 8:30-11:30 AM.
Meet at the free public parking lot located at the end of Forest Rd 626. Pit toilet on-site. Planned is a walk up to two miles round-trip on the trail along both riparian and desert scrub habitats for the best diversity around. We’ll search for birds spotted on the recent CBC. Several species of sparrows and towhees are expected as well as Hutton’s Vireo and maybe Mountain Bluebirds. Shrike and Meadowlark are likely. Bring whatever you need to be comfortable; study shoes, clothing layers, hat/visor, snack, hydration and binoculars are recommended. Heather Hofling will lead. If you have any questions please email: xheatheringx@gmail.com
